Mauli Fernando’s career at one of Sri Lanka’s biggest newspapers ended after her children were born.

Her enterprising spirit led her to the Women’s Development Centre at our Moratuwa Centre where she discovered a talent for sewing! We supported with a sewing machine and today she is a vendor at local welfare bazaars and upscale farmers markets like the Colombo Good Market.
